What is baptism at Riverside? What is it and why should I consider baptism? In the New Testament, baptism was virtually the first thing a new Christ follower willfully did after responding in faith to the good news of Jesus. As modeled in the Bible, baptism is an act of obedience that Christ expects of every believer. It is an outward sign of an inward conversion experience -- a celebration of new life. Though some traditions practice the act of baptism differently, the Bible's examples show that people were old enough to come to a choice of faith, and then they got baptized -- totally immersed -- in water. That's why we do it that way. Click here to find a current list of class dates, or complete an online class here.

Launching Point connection event. This is a great way to meet some of our pastors, and learn a little bit about Riverside's values, beliefs, and programs. The low-key informational atmosphere will open up the opportunity for you to ask questions and discover ways to get connected to activities beyond Sunday services. After that, if you are thinking about membership, we encourage you to attend our membership class where you will gain a better understanding of Riverside's three core values, our mission, and the beliefs of the Christian and Missionary Alliance denomination. As part of the class you will be given materials that allow you to begin the process of membership, should you so choose.

“Tithing was created for our benefit. It is to teach us how to keep God first in our lives and how to be unselfish people. Unselfish people make better husbands, wives, friends, relatives, employees and employers. God is trying to teach us how to prosper over time.”
