Is This Us?

“Before I got married I had six theories about raising children; now, I have six children and no theories.”  John Wilmot

This is real life.

Being a parent today can feel so overwhelming.  Extended families are scattered farther apart, negative influences are more immediate, school officials are busier with more kids and more responsibilities, and honestly merely navigating the dizzying array of contradictory advice on just about everything on child rearing is daunting all by itself.  Even if you have a firm idea on the values and ideas important to your family, adding in the unique personalities and temperament of each child brings a whole new level of complexity as you seek to love each individual well in the way that fits their design. And what about adult children -- what does parenting them look like?

As noted author Gary Chapman notes, "Love is the most important word in the English language - and the most confusing."  How in the world do you build a strong, healthy family?

Join us for a practical series on parenting and family life where you can take away real ideas to implement.  Messages where wisdom from God's Word can bring hope and healing to your circumstances and your relationships.  A series where you'll learn simple strategies you can use to strengthen not just your parenting, but also improve communication and understanding in other areas of your life.

You are welcome here!  Sundays at 8:45, 10:30 or 12:05 at our Big Lake campus, or at 9:00 or 10:45 at our Sauk Rapids campus.  Come and see - and feel free to invite others you know to come too.
